C-TPAT membership revalidation

Since 2003, EgeTrans USA has been a member of the Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT), a program implemented by US Customs and Border Protection to strengthen international supply chains and to improve the U.S. border protection and security.

To become a certified C-TPAT member, a security profile that summarizes the procedures of securing the supply chain must be submitted. The EgeTrans USA security profile was submitted in 2003 and approved by CBP at that time.

To ensure the security measures are carried out and still effective, CBP also created the revalidation process for all C-TPAT members. On May 14 2013, the supply chain security specialists from CBP visited EgeTrans USA to perform this revalidation audit of the customs brokerage procedures.

We are very proud to announce that EgeTrans USA has met all the revalidation criteria including:

- Business Partner Requirements
- Container / Conveyance / Transport Security
- Procedural Security - Physical Security
- Physical Access Controls
- Security Training and Threat Awareness
- Personnel Security
- Information Technology Security
and earned an 100% - Overall Score of the customs brokerage procedures.

With this excellent score, EgeTrans USA will keep its status as a certified C-TPAT member.

CBP states in the revalidation report that the high level managerial support at EgeTrans USA as well as the continuous focus on self monitoring and improving its own security procedures has led to that result. EgeTrans USA's effective security practices have demonstrated the company's efforts to meet the requirements of the C-TPAT program.
