EgeTrans receives three awards from Deere & Company

„I have the chance to meet a lot of freight forwarders on every continent. And most of them tell me how big they are, how many TEU they are shipping and how great their technology is. EgeTrans does none of that. EgeTrans just delivers.”

These were the words uttered during the visit of a delegation from John Deere to the company headquarters in Marbach am Neckar on October 27, where EgeTrans was honored with several awards. This year, EgeTrans is once again one of the award winners of the Achieving Excellence (AE) program of the US agricultural machinery manufacturer John Deere. For fiscal year 2021, the company received three awards for high-quality logistics services and for its commitment to optimizing and continuously developing its logistics processes.

EgeTrans has also earned recognition for 2021 in the John Deere Cost Reduction Opportunities Process (JD CROP). JD CROP, a supplier suggestion process, is part of Deere & Company's Achieving Excellence program. The company received the honor for providing cost-reduction ideas of outstanding quality, and for demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement. This has already been the fifth time after 2009, 2011, 2014 and 2016.

For long-term excellence EgeTrans received a place in the John Deere Hall of Fame for the third time. Suppliers who have achieved partner-level supplier status in the last five years are inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Achieving Excellence – Feedback and Evaluation

All John Deere suppliers are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, delivery, technical support, cost management or wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created this program in 1991, both to establish a basis for feedback, as well as to develop an evaluation process to trigger continuous development and improvement.
